Sunday School is considered the foundation of our Children's Ministry. The quality time that children spend learning about God's word will impact their lives forever. Teachers use Lifeway relevant curriculum from the Southern Baptist Convention.  The lessons follow a 4-step design.

In the first step the students are motivated to learn by exploring how the topic relates to their life experiences. In step 2 the teachers present the Bible information to the students in a variety of ways. The purpose of step 3 is to provide opportunities for children to practice the information they've just acquired. In step 4 the teachers encourage the students to apply what they've learned to their everyday experiences.

Class Categories

Nursery Ages Birth through 1 year. We have a fully equipped nursery, staffed by 2 adults each week, to care for your infant while you attend the Worship Service.

Toddlers Ages 1-2 years. The class introduces children to routine, helping them learn to get along with peers and experiencing God's love through caring volunteers.Climbers Ages 3-4 years. Trained teachers lead the class with lots of activity including “circle time,” crafts, games and play.

Grades K -5. Students are separated into age groups: K-1 grades, 2nd-3rd grades, and 4th-5th grades. Sunday School teachers teach with a "hands-on" approach and give children the opportunity to interact and discuss the Bible lessons and how they relate to their world. Not all children learn by reading and reciting, we strive to give every child a chance to learn in a way that best fits them.

The Bible doesn't have to be boring or thought of as stories from old. It is exciting and can be made to be relevant to every child—that's exactly what the Children's Ministry Team prepares to do each and every week during the Sunday School hour.
